Hello again :)

Hello! Sorry I have been away- life just got busy.   I have been to school this summer, been to the beach 3 times, came *thisclose* to Kenny Chesney this past weekend at the beach, and I have been clean eating and working out like crazy and trying to stay cool here in the south.  So basically, just life.

Today I am linking up with Kelly's Korner, in order to tell more people about BeachBody.
This company has done wonders for me since April 30.  I have already lost about 25 pounds, and probably close to 50 inches.  I am healthier, feeling better, and the crazy part is I am craving veggies which I never used to!  Here is a typical day in the life of a beachbody clean eater!  For breakfast (you can have this at any point in the day, but I tend to always have it in the morning, or before lunch)- I drink Shakelology.  It is a dense, superfood, all nutrition shake that comes in 4 flavors- Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate, and Greenberry.  Strawberry is my favorite, but everyone is different.  They have lots of combo packs and flavor combinations.  I mix mine with Almond milk- I prefer Simple Truth Vanilla Almond Milk.  It's lighter than regular almond milk and it is very easy to blend fruit into.   I typically do 8 ounces of Almond Milk, 1 or 2 bananas, 1 scoop of strawberry shakeo, and maybe a scoop of pb2- powdered peanut butter.
I started Shakeology as part of the 21 day Fix.  It is a program from beach body and you basically get an eating plan, with containers to help you control your potions, a DVD with the workouts (they range from 30-45 min each) and if you order it as a challenge pack, you get a 30 day supply of Shakeology.  So basically, you weigh and measure yourself, then you workout each day and clean eat according to your containers and where you fall on the calorie chart and after 21 days you reweigh and re-measure and then you find out your results.
I have become a coach because I want to pay it forward.  I want to help others like my awesome coach has helped me.  I have a goal- I want to lose at least 100 pounds.  I want to be able to walk as far as I want without having side cramps.  I want to be able to go running and not feel like my lungs are going to explode.  I want to have the body that will allow me to walk into any store and buy a pair of pants, or a top, and not have to ask for special sizes.  I want to have the calves that allow me to wear skinny jeans and knee-high boots.  I want to have the kind of body that when I wear a bathing suit, I won't feel like I need to put on a tarp just to walk to the bathroom at the pool.

Five For Friday

I have decided to jump on the bandwagon... here goes :)

1. I am doing the 21 day fix.  It's by beachbody, and I love it, but it is really hard.  Basically you calculate how many calories you are allowed each day by using a chart they give you, and an equation that involves multiplying your weight by 11.  They break down how many cups of each group you can have for each section of the calorie chart.  So basically, I am allowed 6 cups of veggies each day, 4 cups of fruit, 6 of protein, 4 grains, 1 of carbs and 1 of healthy fats and oils.  The healthy fats and oils container only holds 2 teaspoons.  You also do a 30 minute exercise dvd each day.  It was very hard in the beginning, and it was really hard 1/2 way through. However, I am on the last week, and I am starting to see results.  For example I am craving proteins now, and not sweets. I am still craving some things I used to eat, but I know that if I can make it to day 21, I can treat myself.

Some things that are not fix approved:  Lunch meats like capicola and proscuitto.  Frappacinos.  Sour cream.  Cream cheese.  Hawaiian Sweet Rolls.  Salt. Sugar. Ice Cream.

I plan on making to day 21, getting my measurements, and taking a couple days off to have a frappacino, eat mexican food,  grab frozen yogurt.  Then, I will start all over again :)

2.  I am a coach for beachbody.  That means if you want to try a new exercise program or if you want to try the 21 day fix, contact me and I will be happy to help you with getting what you need to meet your goals :)

3.  I am so happy that warmer weather is coming.  That means more pool time.  This girl needs a tan, stat.

4.  I just ordered a new steno machine for school.  I am so excited, and hopefully this machine will be awesome and I will be able to trade it in for a top of the line machine when I graduate.

5. I may or may not have decided to look for a job when I graduate in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  I may or may not have picked out where I want to live.  I may or may not have a Pinterest board dedicated to this.

TotalSocial linkup

 Hello :)

Yes I know, it's been a bit since I have been here.  Things have been busy, and are just now winding down.

Anyhow, I am linking up with Brenda to do a total social linkup.  I have never done one of these before, but she did it and it looked fun, so here we go!

First movie I saw in a theater: I have this memory of my grandmother taking my brother and I to see maybe Snow White.  But I don't really remember us watching the movie, just us talking about it in the car.  The first movie I really remember going to see at the movies is Hoosiers, which was a good movie, but I hate sports, so I hate that I remember it.

First Professional sporting event:  I have many memories of Tiger basketball and Tiger football.  Most of them involve me taking a book so I wouldn't be bored to death.

First best friend:  I had 2 neighborhood friends that I played with, Lauren and Ginny.  My first school friend was Shelby in Kindergarten.

First bike- I remember getting a purple bike when I was very little, and of course, the Christmas I got it was one of the coldest.

First literary obsession: I was very obsessed with the Ramona books, and the movies.  Also, I remember loving, loving, loving The Babysitter's Club and Sweet Valley High.

First date:  A group of us in school went to a dance at school one Friday night.  Wahoo.

First album you bought for yourself:  I remember getting to pick out albums that my parents or grandparents were going to buy me.  These albums included Amy Grant, Reba, and New Kids On The Block, but the first one I paid for was Madonna's Like A Prayer.

First Concert:  Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.  Don't judge.

First international destination:  My grandparents took their three grandchildren to England and Scotland when we were 9, 9, and 11.  It was pretty sweet.

First car:  The first car my parents bought for us was a 1985 Honda Accord.  It was a piece.  The first car I picked out for myself was a 1999 Honda Civic, and then later, I picked out a 2006 Honda Civic.  I am looking to break the Honda streak.

First real job:  When I was 12, I was hired to babysit some neighborhood kids after school.  I made $25 a week, and I thought I was rich.

First roommate:  When I moved into college, I lived with a girl named Lisa.  It was a good experience because I had never shared a room or anything with another person.

First home of my own:  When I was 24, and literally turning 25 days later, I moved into an apartment with the daughter of a coworker.  I was young and naive, and hadn't ever lived on my own before, so it was a real growing experience for me.  She was used to living by herself and had to get used to me.  We figured out that I am a very hard person to live with.  We lived together 4 months, and then  I moved into a cheaper apartment by myself.  It was cute and cozy, but the neighborhood was going downhill.  I lived there about 4 years and then I moved.

First day as a blogger:  April 17, 2014.  This originally started as a class assignment, but I have decided to keep it going.

First tweet:  It was from January 25, 2009.  It said " I am at home, and I am about to go to a friend's house".  I have no recollection of whose house it was, and why I felt the need to tweet that.....

This was fun :)

Product Review : Ipsy

Hello!  Have any of you heard of Ipsy? No, just me?

Well...... get ready because I am about to let you in on a secret ;)

The secret is that Ipsy is absolutely frickin-fabulous!!!!

Here's the deal:
1. Sign up- you may have to get on a waiting list, but it isn't too long after that.  Maybe 3 months.
2.  Pay 10 dollars a month.  No really, that's it.
3.  Stalk your mailbox around the same time of the month for your super cute Ipsy bag.
4.  Wow everyone you see with how hot you look when you wear the products.
5. Lather/Rinse/Repeat :)

Basically, that's it!  You create an account, and then create your profile.  They will ask you some questions about your preferences and then they will create your bags based around that.  You can go in and change your preferences whenever too.  The first time I did it, I selected neutrals and everything they sent me made me look like Casper the Friendly ghost.  So I logged on, changed my preferences, and now I get colors in my Ipsy bag as well :)

You can go on the website and look and see what is coming in your bag, or you can be surprised.  Sometimes I look, sometimes I don't.  This is a great gift for someone who is just starting with beauty products.  Most of the products are full sized, or trial sized.  Some of the things I have gotten in my Ipsy bag are lip gloss/lip stains, eye liner, mascara, fake eyelashes, hand creme, pore revitalizer, pore minimizer, nail polish, makeup remover wipes, hair products such as moose, volumizer, and lip treatments.  Seriously great stuff for only 10 dollars a month!!!!

If you want to check it out, click this link:  http://www.ipsy.com/r/5f2u

If you do sign up, add me as a friend- I think they call that an Ipster.  And when you share your products, you get points, and then I think you can redeem the points.  I haven't ever done that though, so I am not positive.

Thanks for reading :)

*Ipsy didn't pay me or reimburse me in any way for this post.  All of these thoughts are completely my own.  Ipsy has no idea who I am, even though they take my money each month and send me cute stuff :)

Product Review :)

Hello! I am back with my first product review.  I saw this product at Walgreen's today, and just had to try it :)
The product is the Neuro drink, Bliss.  The flavor is White raspberry.

So this flavor is seriously good.  It's not as sweet as Blue Raspberry, which is ok with me.  I don't feel sleepy or lethargic, but I do feel calm and relaxed.  I will definitely buy this again :)

A little about me...... I live in the good ole' Memphis, Tennessee.  Home of the 901.    I love to try new products and read books by new authors as well as old favorites.

Which brings me to the main purpose of this blog.  To review things, of course!!!!

I will review books, and new products as I get them and post my thoughts on them here.  If you have any requests, feel free to comment.
